What is inside the template?

• How to use: 8 step-by-step instructions.
• Tables: table number, name or group, capacity (10 by default), assigned guests, empty seats and status (empty, seats available, full, over capacity).
• Seating: name, party size, side, group, table number (selected from a dropdown) and note.
• Summary: total tables, total capacity, seated guests, empty seats, over-capacity tables and guests without a table.

How do you prepare a wedding seating plan?

1. Start from confirmed RSVPs only.
2. Define the tables and enter each table's capacity based on the venue layout.
3. List every invitation with its party size, side and group.
4. Assign a table from the dropdown and keep families and friend groups together.
5. Move guests from red, over-capacity tables to tables with free seats.
6. Continue until "guests without a table" on the summary sheet reaches 0.

When should you move to a digital seating plan?
