Find Your Table with a QR Code: Guests Find Their Seat on Their Phone

QR code table finding lets a guest scan the QR code at the venue entrance, type their name and see on their phone which table they will sit at. Biletora's Find Your Table screen shows the table and the guests in the same party, read live from the digital seating plan. Waiting in front of a printed seating chart and table questions to the welcome team both drop. Table details are also sent to guests by table notification SMS on the event day.

What is QR code table finding?

QR code table finding is the digital version of the printed seating chart board. The guest scans the QR code with the phone camera, types a first or last name on the Find Your Table screen and sees their table. Two characters are enough to search, and matching guests are listed with their tables. If a table has not been assigned yet, the screen says so.

How does a guest find their table?

A guest finds their table in 3 steps. They scan the QR code at the entrance or welcome desk. They type their first or last name on the screen and search. The table name and the guests in their party appear, with children marked, and no app is needed.

Where does the table information come from?

Table information comes from the digital seating plan in Biletora. When the organizer assigns a guest to a table or changes it at the last minute, the Find Your Table screen shows the current assignment, with no board to reprint. Because the screen is served without caching, every search reads the latest seating plan.

Where should the QR code be placed?

The Find Your Table link is specific to the event and is turned into a QR code placed where guests will see it: the venue entrance, the welcome desk, a foyer board or the invitation card. At crowded weddings, several QR points at the entrance spread out the queue that forms in front of a single board.

How does it work with the table notification SMS?

The table notification SMS sends table details to each guest's phone on the event day, while QR code table finding helps a guest who missed the SMS find their table at the door. Used together, the welcome team only handles exceptions. At events with QR check-in, the guest is admitted first and then finds their table on their phone.

Can it replace table cards and the seating chart board?

QR code table finding takes over the job of the printed seating chart board, while numbered table cards on the tables remain useful for spotting a table in the hall. The most practical setup uses both: guests see their table name on their phone and find the table in the hall by its card.

How does the Find Your Table screen protect guest privacy?

The Find Your Table screen only shows guests that match the typed first or last name; at least 2 characters are required and the full guest list is never displayed. The screen is served without caching and the link does not pass referrer information to other sites. Invitation and table pages are not indexed by search engines, and guest data is processed under Turkey's KVKK (Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data).
